Alberto up to January 2016 was Interim-CFO for D+M Group, NJ a PE-owned (Goldman
Sachs, Bain Capital, Morgan Stanley, ARCM Capital HK) global leader in sound solutions
(brands including Denon, Marantz, Boston Acoustic and HEOS) with annual sales of $400M.
Led business exit strategy including company evaluation, advisors selection, auction process
set up, and virtual data room preparation for due diligence.
From 2013 to 2015, he was Chief Financial Officer for Geneva Watch Group, NYC a privately
owned company with sales of $200M, headquartered in New York City with operations in
Michigan, trading company in Hong-Kong and production facilities in China. Led turnaround
(new business strategy, new management team, enforced compliance, negotiated new
financing, both from shareholders and banks, using ABL).
From 2008 to 2013, he was Group Vice President and Controller of Sherwin-Williams Global
Finishes Group OH (Automotive Finishes; Chemical Coatings; Protective and Marine Coatings
and Emerging Markets) with sales of $3B. Since inception, in 2008, the Group grew sales70%
both organic and with several acquisitions.
Alberto joined Sherwin-Williams in 2006 as Vice President and Controller of the International
Division after ten year experience in the pharmaceutical industry with Schering-Plough, now
merged with Merck
His first assignment with Schering-Plough was as Finance Director in Italy. Mr. Elli was later
promoted VP of Finance for the Healthcare Division headquartered in US and after three years
was named VP of Finance, Pharma International, a group of $4B Sales.
From 1985 to 1996, Alberto held various financial positions in Italy, the last of which was
from1989 to 1996 as Finance Director for SCA, a leading Swedish multinational in paper and
Alberto earned his degree of Dottore in Economia e Commercio with specialization in
Accounting and Business Control from the Universita' L.Bocconi, Milano, Italy.
